Purples have become a very popular option for wedding colour schemes these days. There are few colours that can be both masculine and feminine at the same time, and there are more than enough shades of purple to choose from.

Purple symbolizes dignity, tolerance and togetherness, and goes well with almost any skin tone type.

Silver works particularly well with purple and can provide a modern, contemporary look, while gold too can also integrate with purple to create a more warm feel, perfect for a Winter wedding. Dark chocolate brown and white also work very well with purple.

Below are a few flower options that can be found in purple:

·         Dahlias

·         Gladiola

·         Hydrangea

·         Iris

·         Lilac

·         Lily

·         Orchid

·         Rose

·         Sweet Peas

·         Tulips

Bouquets of purple flowers often need lighter elements to bring out the rich colours, so include some white flowers, greenery and/or silver decorations.

For the centrepieces make bouquets of flowers, grapes and berries. Or, take large square glass vases and fill them with purple stones, water and floating candles or flowers.
