Step 4 of 5 – Choosing Your Wedding Suppliers

Posted by

Your Wedding Suppliers include the following:

* Photographer
* Videographer
* DJ / Entertainment
* Cake
* Florist
* Stationery
* Caterer
* Marriage Officer
* Transport

The first step to Choosing your Wedding Suppliers is to shop around!! Often your first quotation will seem very reasonable and well priced, but if you shop around, you will be able to compare quotations and the quality and service of the same type of suppliers and so you will have peace of mind, knowing that your final decision is the right one.

Word of mouth is often your safest bet!

Your Wedding Stationery gives your guests the first impression of your wedding. So it is a good idea to choose this wisely and not rush into anything.Wedding Invitations should reflect the style of wedding you are trying to plan, as well as the personalities of the bride and groom.

Choosing your Wedding Theme Colours can also play a big part in your big day. They help to set the mood and make your day that extra bit special. Choosing your Colours also helps to set the overall theme. If you are going for a Winter Wonderland theme, why not choose white and silver as your main colours? For an Autumn Theme, choose browns, oranges and yellows.

Choosing your Photographer and Videographer is a big decision to make, as these are the memories that you will be left with when your big day is over. When choosing a Photographer and Videographer, consider their experience level. Have they done weddings before?. Is their photographic style something that you would be interested in? (photo-journalism, formal etc). And obviously check if their price falls into your budget.

When choosing a Florist, look at their portfolio – here you will be able to get an idea of what they can offer you. Are their photos dated or are they following the current trends? Do you like the arrangements that you see in the shop’s display? Are the flowers fresh or are the edges brown?

Your Wedding DJ or Live Band plays a vital part in your special day, especially if you plan on having a big wedding that would entail dancing until your shoes come off!They are the life of your party. Once you have met with the DJ, you can decide if he is the person for the job. Is he professional? Does he have the type of music that you like?

Don’t be shy to ask for references! It is after all YOUR special day and there are no excuses why your day shouldn’t be perfect!
